How systems thinking can serve people in
Higher Education Administration & Leadership
Systems thinking approaches have supported administrative departments at public and private colleges and universities globally to strengthen institutional effectiveness and strategic planning.
Systems Thinking in Action
Our work with higher education administrators has supported teams to recognize interdependencies between academic and student affairs units, promoting greater collaboration and alignment across the institution. In one notable example, a university health promotions team applied the Habits of a Systems Thinker and various systems thinking tools to facilitate interdepartmental understanding that effective health promotion requires coordinated efforts across multiple departments. This systems approach has been instrumental in creating pathways for more integrated student wellness initiatives.
