Service Description
In today’s dynamic workplace, organizations often face challenges stemming from the coexistence of multiple generations of adults, each with unique values, communication styles, and expectations. With new generations entering schools and the workplace, we work to connect leaders with Systems Thinking Habits and Tools to generate deep connections within and across stakeholder groups. This workshop series aims to equip participants with a systems thinking approach to create pathways for collaboration, effectively lead and leverage the strengths of different generational cohorts within an organization.
Outcomes: Participants will be able to:
- Understand the core principles of systems thinking and its relevance to organizational dynamics.
- Gain insights into the characteristics, values, and work preferences of various generational groups (Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z).
- Learn to identify and analyze the interrelationships and patterns that influence generational interactions within the organization.
- Develop strategies to foster collaboration, mitigate conflicts, and enhance productivity across generational lines.
- Utilize systems thinking mapping tools to uncover the system dynamics.
- Create actionable plans to implement systems thinking approaches in day-to-day organizational practices.
Structure:
- Design team meeting of 3 - 5 people who represent leadership at multiple levels (½ day) where we will review perspectives about current conditions, establish desired outcomes and surface any other information that would contribute to a customized plan.
- 2-day workshop (or equivalent), full-team, followed by 1-day workshops 3x per year.
- Suggested follow-up could include further systems thinking capacity-building, and/or executive coaching.
