Find your stories.
Story is strategic. Which stories should leaders tell? Through story mining, you will identify the value-holding “narrative assets” that will advance your work.
Develop for impact.
Drawing from the neuroscience of engagement, you will construct your story messages so they will land with maximum impact. Every time.
Activate!
You will learn to weave stories with data and other modes of powerful persuasion. The outcome? Impossible-to-ignore messages which move the system to action.
The Storytelling Leader Experience
Part 1: Why Story
- Experience how stories create powerful human connections which neuroscience explains as “neural coupling.”
- See examples of how others are activating stories for culture work, sales engagement, organizational learning, engaging the public, and more.
Part 2: Find Your Stories
- Consider “story taxonomies” of stories which can be aligned to different contexts, such as managing change, creating systemic alignment, advancing the culture, and more.
- Begin identifying relevant stories to you as a leader, including demonstrating impact, bringing new offerings and innovations to life, developing the organizational culture, establishing a meaning-making conversation around ethics, and more.
- Explore the elements which create powerful “neural coupling,” as shown on the Story Canvas.
- Use the Story Canvas to develop one of your stories so you can tell it with impact.
Part 3: Activate Your Stories
- Practice telling your story to others and receive coaching from the facilitator and other participants to make it better.
