Drawing from cutting-edge research conducted by Dr. Ilaria Pascucci at the University of Arizona, participants will learn about this cutting edge science and engage in hands-on, minds-on activities that model how astronomers discover and study planets orbiting distant stars. Teachers will experience classroom-ready investigations that bring the thrill of astronomical discovery to their students. The workshop includes lunch and provides each participant with a comprehensive kit of equipment and supplies, ensuring teachers can immediately implement these engaging, minds-on lessons in their own classrooms.
