Description

Systems archetypes are multi-loop, causal loop diagrams that represent behavior seen commonly in complex systems. They can be lenses through which to view systems more clearly. In the Fixes that Backfire archetype, a “quick fix” solution that works in the short term has unintended consequences that worsen the original problem over the long term.
