About the STEM Connect Conference:

The Waters Foundation is proud to co-host the first-annual STEM Connect Conference on Oct. 15 as a part of the TENWEST Festival. Partners of this event include: The University of Arizona STEM Learning Center and the Southern Arizona Research, Science and Engineering Foundation (SARSEF).

The STEM Connect Conference brings together leaders in education (PreK-University), business, nonprofit, government and more to identify areas of cross-sector collaboration. Participants will leave the meeting with concrete connections and tools for creating STEM learning and career opportunities that will benefit southern Arizona for years to come.

Waters Foundation Chief Learning Officer, Sheri Marlin, will introduce the Habits of a Systems Thinker to demonstrate how education, industry and community organizations can use systems thinking to come together to learn how to apply the habits and tools of systems thinking for creating successful STEM partnerships. Systems thinking will serve as the foundation of the STEM Connect conference.

There will be plenty of opportunities to collaborate with fellow participants, in addition to a variety of afternoon sessions to choose from.
